Occupational Safety and Health
The University Office of Environmental, Health, and Safety Management is responsible for developing and implementing university-wide, worker health and safety programs that will protect students, staff, faculty and visitors to our campuses. Once these programs are implemented, many responsibilities then fall to departments and managers to insure that established procedures are being followed. It is then up to the individual workers to insure that they work with a safety-conscious attitude.
UOEHSM safety staff is always willing to partner with departments in developing new programs, and we are here to assist with training and compliance issues. Finally, if an official from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration or Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration arrive on campus, do not hesitate to call our office, as we will take the lead on all meetings with regulatory agencies.
