Training
Environmental, health and safety education and training needs exist in virtually all departments on all IU campuses, and UOEHSM is determined to insure that the university satisfies that need. When evaluating training needs, there are three primary, driving forces that determine the emphasis and direction that environmental health and safety training must take: regulatory requirements, the need to improve safety and health as indicated by campus accident and injury statistics, and working conditions, as observed by departments and workers. With the help of the departments, UOEHSM will identify individuals needing mandatory training and refresher sessions. Departments are required to maintain records of safety training for their personnel.
