MRSA
Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is a type of staph bacteria that is resistant to the antibiotic methicillin and other antibiotics related to penicillin. An infection of this bacteria is very difficult to treat and can lead to loss of limbs and even death if not caught early. Therefore, it is imperative that you report any suspected case of exposure to this bacteria to EHS immediately at 855-6311.
